Last night the good folks at FORD led by Scott Monty held a Tweetup in NYC and asked the attendees for ideas on what their 100 hand selected "social agents" could do with their new loaner Ford Fiestas. This is part of FORD's social media campaign called FiestaMovement to bring awareness for the upcoming launch of the Fiesta in 2010.
My idea is to celebrate the smart choice people would be making by purchasing an eco-friendly Fiesta and extending the good will on behalf of our oceans. The idea is that Fiesta agents would hand deliver SeaFood Watch Pocket Guides (pictured above in my hand) to area seafood restaurants that are committed to serving sustainable seafood. The pocket guides are published by the Monterey Bay Aquarium informing consumers of what seafood is best to eat in terms of safety and sustainability and what seafoods to avoid. Drivers of the Fiestas will be given a list of sustainable restaurants in their area for delivering the pocket guides and interactions with restaurant purveyors or consumers can be posted online to further awareness of eating sustainable seafood. The restaurants will use these great little guides for distribution to their customers in a celebration of making good choices when eating seafood. Customers are encouraged to take the handy guides with them to use as a reference next time they buy seafood or visit another seafood restaurant.
Purchasing a Fiesta is a good choice on many levels so this idea is about making further good choices, while moving around smartly in a Ford Fiesta. The FiestaMovement is not unlike the "sustainable seafood" movement taking place where people are interested in making better choices. Being in a FORD Fiesta, and part of the FiestaMovement not only celebrates moving around smartly, but also making good choices along the way from what kind of car we drive to what kind of seafood we eat.

Usually, Quicksilver/Roxy makes me think back to 6th grade when all the cool kids were sporting it... but this collection? I just want to snuggle up in those sweaters with a mug of coffee in front of a fire... at least once it's not in the 90's anymore!

If you mess up, it"s not your parents" fault, so don"t whine about our mistakes, learn from them.
